HOW IT WORKS
Okay, a little advice first;....your pets should be wearing a tag. It is the most effective tool anyone can have that actually finds your pet. A tag takes the guesswork out of who to call for anyone finding your pet.
Pets Guardian provides a tag, with our toll free number and a Member ID#. When someone finds your lost pet, they call our number and give the ID# on the tag. We then begin contacting you and your pre arranged support group. If we can't get ahold of you,then we call the other people on your list tht have agreed to be part of your backup team. Someone on your list will be able to pick up your pet, even if you cannot be immediately contacted.
We also believe in the ultimate recovery power of microchips, particularly for cats. Cats wearing collars with tags are not always such a good idea. A collar can easily get caught up in bushes and the dense undergrowth a cat is likely to be wandering thru. If your cat is picked up as a stray, it has a high chance it will be euthanized. With a micro chip, that can't happen as it shows the cat has an owner! Also, with a micro chip you can list the Pets GuardianToll Free number as one of your contacts, thereby increasing the likelihood of someone being notified quickly.
